--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: A new gas inlet housing assembly is used on turbochargers with 3608 and 3616 Engines. The new assembly is a two-piece design with a 24-bolt flange. The new 4P0300 Flange has an improved sealing lip that will help reduce the leakage between the flange and the 7E9691 Housing.
Adaptable To: The new 4P0309 Exhaust Gas Inlet Housing Assembly is a direct replacement for both the former 7W5167 Exhaust Gas Inlet Housing (canceled) and the 9Y7101 Exhaust Gas Inlet Housing. The 7E9691 Housing is used in both the 4P0309 Exhaust Gas Inlet Housing and 9Y7101 Gas Inlet Housing. This change is effective with 3606 (8RB41), 3608 (6MC293), 3612 (9RC82), and 3616 (1PD42) Engines. This change is adaptable to all earlier engines.
To repair leaks on earlier turbochargers, the parts listed in the chart and the 7E9691 Housing from an earlier 9Y7101 Gas Inlet Housing can be used. For repairing leaks on 3606 or 3612 Engines, the 7E9700 Duel Inlet Housing from an earlier 7C9394 Gas Inlet Housing and the parts listed in the chart can be used.
