Description of Change: Powdered metal valve guides are used in the cylinder head assembly. The powdered metal valve guides provide improved wear properties.
Adaptable To: The 7E3413 Valve Guide is effective with first production.
NOTE: The inside diameter of the assembled valve guide is to be 9.487 ± 0.025 mm (.3735 ± .0010"). The guide is to be shrunk by means of reducing the temperature of the valve guide to acquire an interference fit. The reduced temperature needed is -62°C (-80°F).
