Bleed Screw Washer (Seal) Must Be Replaced If Bleed Screw Removed From Fuel Nozzle

Usage:

All Engines With 7000 Series Fuel Nozzles

Anytime the bleed screw on the side of 7000 Series Fuel Nozzles is removed or loosened it is important to replace the washer (seal) under this screw with a NEW washer. See illustration. There have been several documented cases where the bleed screw leaked because its washer was not replaced after the screw was removed for service work.

Location of washer under the nozzle bleed screw (3208 Engine shown).

Refer to the applicable Parts Book for the correct washer part number. Tighten the bleed screw to 1.6 ± 0.4 N·m (15 ± 3.5 lb in).

Special Instruction, SEHS7292-05, "Use Of 5P4150 Nozzle Testing Group And 8S2245 Cleaning Kit", Page 46, Step 7 also states that a new washer (seal) is to be used. Make a special Note of this in this Special Instruction and in the other forms or wall charts that contain this same Step 7.
