New 6V116 Water Sleeve Removal Tool Is Available

Usage:

1100 and 3100 Series Engines;
and 3208 Engines

A new 6V116 Water Sleeve Removal Tool (See Illustration 1) is available to remove the water sleeve from the cylinder head on 1100, and 3100 Series Engines and the 3208 Engine. On all these engines, the water sleeve must be removed from the cylinder head before the cylinder head can be lifted off the dowel pins in the engine block.

To remove the water sleeve from the cylinder head, remove the clamp or retaining clip from the water sleeve and install the head of the 6V116 Water Sleeve Removal Tool into the groove on the water sleeve. Put a bar behind the head of the tool as shown in Illustration 2, and force the water sleeve out of the cylinder head and into the front cover. After the water sleeve is free of the cylinder head, the cylinder head can be lifted off the cylinder block.

NOTE: The 6V116 Water Sleeve Removal Tool can also be used for installation of the water sleeve.

The former 5P7308 Water Sleeve Removal Tool has been canceled.
