Use New Adapter To Make Tests Of 9L6884 Nozzles
Usage:
3406, 3408, 3412 Engines With Direct Injection Fuel Systems
Description of Change: A new nozzle adapter assembly is available to make tests of 9L6884 Nozzles used in the above DI engines. The new nozzle adapter uses the force of the test fluid to hold the nozzle tight in the adapter. This added force prevents leakage and/or failure to get the normal pressure. This problem of leakage with the 5P4717 Nozzle Adapter Assembly has caused good nozzles to give a bad test result.
Adaptable To: Use the new 5P8744 Nozzle Adapter Assembly to test 9L6884 Nozzles. Use the 5P4717 Nozzle Adapter Assembly to test nozzles in engines equipped with precombustion chambers.
