The new release of ECAP Version 2.3 has many of the same capabilities as Electronic Technician (ET) Version 2.3. However, ECAP Version 2.3 supports Multi-Function Input/Output Programming in a "Read Only" format, which prevents the use of ECAP Version 2.3 for programming the parameters. ECAP Version 2.3 is able to monitor the settings and perform the same special tests as ET Version 2.3, except ECAP Version 2.3 cannot perform the 3126B ADEM III automatic cylinder cutout test. The form number for the Version 2.3 chip is NEXG4522.
