Description of Change: A "T" adapter cable assembly is available for use in the above truck engines. The "T" adapter cable assembly allows the 139-4166 Adapter Cable Assembly to connect the engine Electronic Control Module (ECM) to an Electronic Control Analyzer And Programmer (ECAP), or to a communications adapter.
Adaptable To: For 3176 (2YG) Truck Engines, the 139-4166 Adapter Cable Assembly can not be used unless the 140-9442 "T" Adapter Cable Assembly is attached.
For 3406B Truck Engines, attaching the 140-9442 "T" Adapter Cable Assembly to the 139-4166 Adapter Cable Assembly eliminates the need to disconnect the diagnostic lamp and the parking brake switch from the ECM.
