Ring Retainer And New O-Ring Seal Used In The Brakesaver Engine Oil Lines Group

Usage:

3406B (7FB, 4MG) And 3406B (PEEC) (8TC) Truck Engines

Description of Change: A new ring retainer and O-ring seal are used in the BrakeSaver engine oil lines group on 3406B and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines. The location of the new ring retainers and O-ring seals are shown in the illustration. The new O-ring seal is made of a more durable material than the former O-ring seal. The new ring retainer helps minimize the relative movement between the tube and the elbow when the BrakeSaver is activated. The new ring retainer and O-ring seal will help prevent oil leakage.

Adaptable To: The new 5P5846 O-ring Seal is a direct replacement for the former 9M9647 O-ring Seal in the 9N666 BrakeSaver Engine Oil Lines Group on 3406B and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines. The 9Y1375 Ring Retainer is added to the 9N666 Brake-Saver Engine Oil Lines Group. Two 5P5846 O-ring Seal and two 9Y1375 Ring Retainers are used in each oil lines group. The new O-ring seal and ring retainer are in effect with 3406B Truck Engines 7FB97745, 4MG1 and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engine 8TC1400. The new O-ring seal and ring retainer are adaptable to BrakeSaver engine oil lines group on 3406 Truck Engines 92U1-Up, and all earlier 3406B and 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines.
