Remove Direct Injection Fuel Nozzles With 6V4061 And 6V4054 Nozzle Pullers

Usage:


1100, 3200 And 3300 Series DI Truck Engines

The 6V4061 Nozzle Puller Group, shown in Illustration 1, is used to remove direct injection fuel nozzles from the above engines.

Instructions

1. Disconnect fuel line from adapter (Illustration 2). Disconnect nozzle fuel line from adapter. Remove adapter from the cylinder head. Remove bolt and clamp.

2. Install the 6V4151 Leg in the tapped hole used for the rocker arm shaft. Install the 6V4149 Jaw and the 6V4152 Screw on the nozzle (Illustration 3). The jaw engages in two slots in the body of the nozzle.

3. Install the 6V4150 Leg in the tapped hole of the 6V4153 Plate. Install the plate over the 6V4151 Leg and 6V4152 Screw, as shown in Illustration 4.

4. Install the 2S5658 Washer and 1B4206 Nut. Turn the nut to remove the nozzle (Illustration 5).

The 6V4054 Nozzle Puller Group (Illustration 6) is used with the 6V4061 Nozzle Puller Group to remove 7N449 Nozzles in the 3300 Series DI Engines.

All of the parts in the 6V4061 Nozzle Puller Group, except the 6V4153 Plate, are needed to use the 6V4054 Group.

Instructions To Use The 6V4054 Group

1. Remove fuel line and nozzle hold down clamp from both the nozzle to be removed and the nozzle next to it (Illustration 7).

2. Assemble tools as shown in Illustrations 8 and 9.

NOTE: The 6V4151 Leg, which has the male end, must always be installed next to the 6V4149 Jaw and 6V4152 Screw.

Illustration 10 shows the 6V4054 Nozzle Puller Group in position to remove a nozzle assembly when the rear hole in the 6V4054 Nozzle Puller Group is used.
