The 7X1830 3406B PEEC Service Program Module (SPM) is software in an Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM) chip that can be installed in the 8T5282 PEEC Digital Diagnostic Tool (DDT) by the customer to provide all of the service functions for 3406B (PEEC) Truck Engines. The 7X1830 SPM has been updated from Version 1.2 to 2.0. The version number is stamped on the module and is also displayed on the DDT screen during the power on self test. The new version provides the following enhancements:

...Idle Shutdown Time is added as a Customer Specified Parameter.

...Idle Shutdown Status parameter is added to the Display Status screens.

...A new Display Logged Diagnostic Messages function is added. This displays logged diagnostic messages and the number of occurrences for each message code. The diagnostic codes are logged by the 3406B PEEC while it is powered and are lost when the engine is shutdown.

Version 2.0 of the 7X1830 3406B PEEC SPM is still compatible with all prior versions of 3406B PEEC engines.
