New Water Pump Cover Has A Baffle And Wall To Send Coolant Flow From Bypass Line Directly Into Water Pump{1361}

Usage:

3408 Truck, Industrial and Vehicular Engines;
3412 Industrial Engines

Description of Change: A new water pump cover has a baffle and wall to control the direction of coolant flow. With the new cover, the coolant from the bypass line will flow directly into the water pump. Formerly, the flow from the bypass line mixed with the coolant in the radiator bottom tank and caused too much cooling action in some conditions. The new cover will improve control of engine temperatures, especially at low idle and/or in light load conditions, and improve performance of the cab heater if so equipped.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement. The new 9N3312 Cover can be installed in place of the former 6N931 Cover, which is canceled.
