Heavy-Duty Line Of Batteries Available To U.S. Dealers{1400,1401}

Usage:

Reference: IRM (Informational Release Memo), BAT 86-3, New Heavy-Duty Battery Line.

Caterpillar now offers a new line of batteries for parts service only. This new line is known as a Heavy-Duty Line and is available at this time only to U.S. dealers due to taxes and import duties.

The Heavy-Duty Line is more economical than the extreme service Low Maintenance/High Output and Maintenance Free Batteries because the Heavy-Duty Line of batteries has a lower performance level for comparable sizes. The extreme service Low Maintenance/High Output and Maintenance Free Batteries are still used in production Caterpillar products. These batteries are also still available for parts service.

The Heavy-Duty Line of batteries is competitively priced and will put you in a better position to sell batteries for almost all applications. This new line has battery sizes for almost anything you service, plus many products you do not service, such as agricultural equipment, industrial equipment, U.S. and foreign autos, on-highway trucks, golf carts, and garden tractors. See the illustration.

Some of the new Heavy-Duty Line of batteries now offered for parts service.

There are many applications that do not require the extreme service battery. For example, if the machine is used in a mild climate and not subjected to severe vibrations, the Heavy-Duty battery is the best value for your customer. You can now offer an alternative.
