Description of Change: A new water pump oil seal is available for all 3300 Series Engines. See the illustration. The material used for the lip of the new seal is not as hard as the former material. The new seal is not damaged as easily during assembly and does not cause wear of the shaft.
Adaptable As: The new 6V3988 Seal is a direct replacement for the former 8H9520 Seal in this application.
Location of new seal in water pump.
