8S2252 Carbon Seal Tool Can Be Adapted For Use On 8N7001 Fuel Nozzle Assembly{0611,1254}

Usage:

The diameter of the tip used in the 8N7001 Fuel Nozzle made by Caterpillar is larger than that of the tips used in Pencil-Type fuel nozzles made for Caterpillar.

The 8S2252 Carbon Seal Tool can be used for installation of the carbon seals (see Illustration 1) on the 8N7001 Fuel Nozzle if a modification is made to the tool. After modification, the tool will fit around the larger tip.

The 8S2252 Carbon Seal Tool must be drilled out to .332" (8.5 mm) to a depth of .060" (1.5 mm), as shown in Illustration 2.

The 8S2252 Carbon Seal Tool can be used on both Pencil-Type fuel nozzles and 8N7001 Fuel Nozzles after this modification is made.
