New Cylinder Liner Has Improved Design To Keep Liner Temperatures Lower{1216}

Usage:

594 Pipelayers;
D9H and DD9H Tractors;
D353, D379, D398 and D399 Industrial and Marine Engines;
G379, G398 and G399 Natural Gas Engines

Description of Change: A new cylinder liner with an improved design is used in the above models. The new liner has a groove which is 1.35" (34.4 mm) wide and .050" (1.27 mm) deep in a location approximately one half inch (12.7 mm) below the top flange.

The groove permits a better flow of coolant around the upper part of the liner. The result is lower maximum temperatures of the liner during engine operation.

Adaptable As: The 8N9174 Cylinder Liner is a direct replacement for the former 7N5681 Cylinder Liner, which is canceled.
