Usage:
The design and operation of earth-moving machines can some times cause hydraulic hose assemblies to wear rapidly if they are not fabricated and installed correctly. For maximum service life, XT3 and XT5 hose assemblies fabricated by users and dealers must be cut to exact lengths and have specific fittings installed at the correct angle of orientation. They also must be routed (installed) correctly on the machine. Technical Partsgrams SEBD2083 (XT3) and SEBD2084 (XT5) give the correct information to fabricate each hose assembly.
Hose lengths that are too long or too short, wrong fittings, and fittings which do not have the correct angle of orientation can cause the hoses to make contact with other parts on the machine. This also can cause the hoses to kink (bend tightly) during operation. The result is increased wear and possible leakage or breaks. The hoses must be installed as per the original factory installation. Hoses which are not routed correctly on the machine can wear rapidly and/or break for the same reasons.
