New Tilt Cylinder Head Permits Bucket To Correctly Dump At Any Height{5104}

Usage:

973 Loaders

Description of Change: A new, grooved head is used in the tilt cylinder. The grooves prevent a hydraulic lock from occurring between the head and piston. This will permit the bucket to dump correctly at any height. Without the grooves, simultaneous lift and dump at approximately 3/4 of full lift height could not be achieved.

Adaptable To: The new 9T6539 Head is a direct replacement for the former 3G5997 Head in the 3G5949 Tilt Cylinder Group.

The former head can be modified to improve the operation of earlier tilt cylinders. Make two grooves at 90° from each other, completely across the face of the head as shown in the illustration.

Modification to former head.
