Usage:
Start By:
a. Install the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
b. Release the pressure from the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. |
NOTE: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This will help prevent fluid loss and this will help to prevent contaminants from entering the system.
NOTE: The hydraulic oil cooler is mounted on the radiator assembly behind the radiator grille.
1. Open grille (1) on the rear of the machine.
2. Remove locking pins (3) and pins (2).
3. Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (6) from hydraulic oil cooler (4). Remove the two O-ring seals from the hydraulic oil cooler fittings.
4. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers that hold cover (8) to the rear frame.
5. Lift and tilt back cover (8).
6. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to hydraulic oil cooler (4), as shown.
7. Remove cotter pins (10) and clevis pins (9) from the hydraulic oil cooler.
8. Remove the hydraulic oil cooler. The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler is 45 kg (99 lb).
Installation Procedure
NOTE: Check the condition of all O-ring seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
1. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting strap to hydraulic oil cooler (4). Position the hydraulic oil cooler in the rear frame, as shown. Align the pin bores in hydraulic oil cooler (4) and the hydraulic oil cooler supports. The weight of the hydraulic oil cooler is 45 kg (99 lb).
2. Install clevis pins (9) in the hydraulic oil cooler. Install cotter pins (10) in clevis pins (9).
3. Lower cover (8). Install four bolts (7) and the washers that hold the cover to the rear frame.
4. Install the two O-ring seals in the hydraulic oil cooler fittings. Connect hose assemblies (5) and (6) to hydraulic oil cooler (4).
5. Install pins (2).
6. Install locking pins (3) in pins (2).
7. Close the grille.
8. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
End By:
a. Remove the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
