Flywheel

Usage:

Remove Flywheel

Start By:

a. remove generator

1. Fasten tool (A) to flywheel (2). Remove bolts (1) and flywheel (2) from the crankshaft. The weight of the flywheel is approximately 46 kg (101.2 lb).

2. Remove gear (3) from the flywheel if a replacement is necessary.

Install Flywheel

1. Heat gear (1) to a maximum temperature of 315°C (600°F). Install gear (1) on the flywheel. Make sure the side of the gear with the chamfer is away from the flywheel.

2. Fasten tool (A) to the flywheel. Put a 5/8" × 18 NF × 4 guide bolt (2) in the crankshaft. Install flywheel (3). The weight of the flywheel is approximately 46 kg (101.2 lb).

3. Put 2P2506 Thread Lubricant on the threads of the bolts that hold the flywheel in place on the crankshaft. Install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 354 N·m ± 27 N·m (260 ± 20 lb ft).
