Usage:
Start By:
a. remove cylinder heads
1. Remove water seals (1) from the spacer plate.
2. Install six 3/8" - 16 NC forcing screws (2) in spacer plate (5). Tighten the screws evenly until the spacer plate (5) is free of the dowels. Remove gasket.
3. Remove the O-ring seals from locations (3) and (4) under the spacer plate.
Install Spacer Plates
1. Make sure the spacer plate and the machined surface of the cylinder block are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.

Both surfaces of the spacer plate gasket and the top of the cylinder block must be clean. Do not use a gasket adhesive on these surfaces. |
2. Put a new gasket (2) over the dowels and install O-ring seals (1) on the cylinder block.
3. Install spacer plate (3).
4. Install new water seals in the spacer plate.
5. Check the cylinder liner projection. See "Install Cylinder Liners" in the Disassembly and Assembly.
