Alternator
Usage:
Remove & Install Alternator
1. Remove guard bolts (1) and alternator guard (2).
2. Loosen adjustment nut (3) and bolt (8). Push alternator (7) toward the engine. Remove alternator belt (6) from the alternator pulley.
3. Disconnect and mark wire connections (5). Remove bolt (8) and bolt (4). Remove alternator (7).
The following steps are for the installation of the alternator.
4. Place alternator (7) in position, and then install bolt (4) and bolt (8) finger tight.
5. Push alternator (7) toward engine and replace alternator belt (6). Tighten bolt (4) and adjustment nut (3) for the proper alternator belt tension. See "Belt Tension Chart" in Testing and Adjusting.
6. Tighten mounting bolt (8).
7. Reconnect wires (5), and replace alternator guard assembly (2).
