Usage:
NOTE: The same procedure is used for the right side and rear turbochargers.
Left Side Turbocharger
1. Remove pipe (1) to the aftercooler housing.
2. Remove intake tube assembly (2) and exhaust tube assembly (3) from the turbocharger.
Side Turbocharger
3. Disconnect turbocharger oil supply line (4) and the turbocharger oil drain line (6).
4. Install strap and hoist to turbocharger (5), as shown.
5. Remove turbocharger mounting bolts (7) and remove turbocharger (5). The weight of the turbocharger is 29.5 kg (65 lb).
Rear Turbocharger
6. Disconnect turbocharger oil supply line (8) and the turbocharger oil drain line (10).
7. Install strap and hoist to turbocharger (9), as shown.
8. Remove turbocharger mounting bolts (11) and turbocharger (9). The weight of the turbocharger is 29.5 kg (65 lb).
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the turbochargers.

Make sure the 2P2333 Manifold Sealer does not get on the inside of the pipes. Damage to the turbocharger could be the result if the manifold sealer gets on the impeller on the turbocharger. |
9. Put 2P2333 Manifold Sealer on the male ends of turbochargers.
10. Use a hoist to install turbochargers (9) and (5).
NOTE: Use a new gasket between turbochargers (9) and (5) and the elbows.
11. Apply 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound to mounting bolts (11) and (7). Install the bolts.
12. Lubricate the O-ring seals for the tube assemblies with glycerin.
13. Install intake tube assembly (2) and exhaust tube assembly (3) with the clamps. Tighten the wrap around the clamps to a torque of 7.0 ± 1.5 N·m (5 ± 1 lb ft). Tighten the bolts on the half clamps to the standard torque.
14. Install pipe (1) to the aftercooler housing.
15. Use new gaskets and attach oil drain lines (6) and (10).
16. Use new gaskets and attach oil supply lines (4) and (8).
