To make an adjustment to get distance (2) add or remove shims (4) as necessary.

NOTE: When 4L6433 Governor Spring Assembly is used, the distance from top of bearing to top of machined face of housing, with the governor weights tight against the governor shaft is ... 2.080 ± .010 in.(52.83 ± 0.25 mm)

(3) Diameter of governor shaft ... .627 to .628 in.(15.93 to 15.95 mm)

Bore in bearing for shaft ... .6295 ± .0005 in.(15.989 ± 0.013 mm)

Maximum permissible clearance between bearing and shaft ... .005 in.(0.13 mm)

(4) 1M7534 Shim.

(5) End play for accessory drive shaft ... .003 to .010 in.(0.08 to 0.25 mm)

(6) Diameter of shaft ... 1.4335 to 1.4345 in.(36.411 to 36.436 mm)

Bore in bearings for shaft ... 1.436 to 1.437 in.(36.47 to 36.50 mm)

(7) Free movement between governor drive gear and governor pinion gear ... .002 to .006 in.(0.05 to 0.15 mm)

(8) Torque for nut holding gear ... 150 ± 20 lb.ft.(20.7 ± 2.8 mkg)
