Usage:
start by:
a) separation of governor from fuel injection pump housing
1. Remove seat retaining ring (1) and pin (2) under the ring.
2. Remove seat (3), governor bolt (4), washer (5) and spring (6).
3. Remove the ring and pin that hold the sleeve on the valve. Remove the sleeve and bearing from the valve and weight unit.
4. Remove retaining ring (9) and sleeve (7).
5. Remove bearing (10) and races (8) from sleeve (7).
6. Remove valve (14) from piston (16). Remove retaining ring (12).
7. Remove weight unit (11).
8. Remove piston (16) and sleeve (13) from cylinder (15).
9. Remove the O-ring seal from sleeve (13).
10. Remove high idle screw (18) and low idle screw (17).
11. Remove bolt (19) and lock.
12. Remove the shaft and lever from governor housing.
13. Remove the seal, plug and two bearings from the governor housing.
Assemble Governor
1. Install two bearings, plug and seal in the governor housing with lip of seal to inside.
2. Put the lever and shaft in position in the governor housing. Install bolt (1) and lock.
3. Install high idle screw (3) and low idle screw (2) in the governor housing.
4. Install O-ring seal (7) on sleeve (6).
5. Install piston (5) and sleeve (6) in cylinder (4).
6. Put weight unit (9) in position on cylinder (4) and install retaining ring (8).
7. Install valve (11) in piston (5).
8. Install the bearing and races on sleeve. Install ring. Install the sleeve and bearing (10) on valve (11).
9. Install pin (13) and ring (12) that hold sleeve on valve.
10. Put seat (15), bolt (14), washer and spring in position on the valve (11). Install the retaining pin and ring (16) that hold pin and valve together.
end by:
a) connection of governor to fuel injection pump housing
b) install fuel injection pump housing and governor as a unit
c) make rack setting and governor adjustment (See FUEL RACK SETTING AND GOVERNOR ADJUSTMENTS in TESTING AND ADJUSTING)
