Planetary Shaft And Bearing Removal

Usage:

1. Remove the planetary section from the marine gear.

2. Remove the companion flange and the retainer cover from the rear of the planetary section.

3. Set the planetary section on blocks with the planetary gear carrier upward. The planetary section now weighs approximately 1700 lb. (771,1 kg).


PUSHING CARRIER SHAFT OUT OF TAPER ROLLER BEARINGS

Tools required: 1H3107 Push Puller, two 1H3108 Legs, four 3H468 Plates, 5F7366 Screw, two 3H466 Nuts, 5F7353 Washer, 7F9540 Puller, 9S5800 Hydraulic Pump, FT866 Back-up Plate, three FT867 Rods and two 1B4209 Nuts.

4. Use tools required to force the carrier shaft from the bearings (use a hoist to support the tool setup). Push on the output shaft inner bearing race and remove the shaft.

5. Push the forward bearing outer race and spacer from the planetary housing, if necessary, by using forcing screws.
