CAT REMAN ANNOUNCES NEW PRODUCT TYPE: REMAN AIR DRYER CARTRIDGES
Product Introduction
Cat Reman is proud to announce a new product offering: remanufactured air dryer cartridges. These cartridges like all Reman product are built to the latest design specifications, are like new, and carry the same warranty as new, but they sell for a fraction of the price. Part numbers available immediately include those shown on the following chart.
Features and Benefits
These are desiccant filled air dryer cartridges commonly used in many air-over-hydraulic braking systems. Over time, the desiccant becomes saturated and loses its ability to extract moisture from the air system which can then begin to cause system degradation. Customers are instructed in machine Operation and Maintenance Manuals to inspect these systems regularly by opening air valves and checking for moisture. If moisture is present, they are instructed to change out or rebuild the cartridge. The Reman option provides a lower cost service option with off-the-shelf availability. The Reman process involves opening the cartridge cores, removing the desiccant, and baking it to remove any moisture. The cartridge housings are refurbished as required and the cartridge assemblies are then rebuilt like new and put back into the parts system allowing customers to benefit from a lower cost repair.
