An Improved Engine Oil Lines on Certain G3500H HD Engines {1307, 1469} Caterpillar

Description Of Change: The oil lines have been redesigned and there is a new pre-lube pump orientation. The new oil lines have improved durability.

The weld boss was moved to a new adapter plate, 522-9119 Plate As in oil lines group. Replace 368-8534 Tube As with 523-0394 Tube As on G3516H Engines. Replace 369-4533 Tube As with 523-0389 Tube As on G3520H Engines. Reoriented the pre-lube pump and changed the hose routing.

3. This will require rotating the pump head 180 degrees on the pre-lube pump motor.

4. By removing these 4 bolts.

5. Pump will rotate freely with bolts removed, reorient the pump to correct position and reinstall bolts and torque.

6. Remove the old tube, oil adapter plate as, and the pre-lube pump return line and fittings.

7. Install new oil adapter plate as, oil tube, and pre-lube pump return line. The check valve will be reused from return line.
