A new monitor software is now available for the machines that are listed above. This software file applies for Large Wheel Loader, Large Wheel Dozer, and Compactor Information Displays.

Note: This software must be flashed along with Transmission, Implement, Telematics, and Object Detection software from Competitive Update 2017.

The new and former software part numbers are listed in Table 1.

Note: Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET), release 2018B v1.0 or later is required to configure machine hardware after flash is complete.

The new software has various improvements and features that are listed below:

  • Added support for additional languages (Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese EAME, Romanian, Slovakian, and Slovenian).

  • Added support for "read error/retry".

Note: After flashing new software to an Electronic Control Module (ECM) or multiple ECMs, always reset the ECM by cycling the power supply. Turn the key start switch to the OFF position. Wait 10 seconds. Turn the key start switch to the ON position or start the engine. Verify that the operation of the machine is correct and that no new diagnostics have been activated. Turn the key start switch to the ON position or start the engine.
