Wear goggles, gloves, protective clothing, and a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved P95 or N95 half-face respirator when handling a used Diesel Particulate Filter or Catalytic Converter Muffler. Failure to do so could result in personal injury. |
- Attach a suitable lifting device to outlet assembly (1). The weight of the cover assembly is approximately
127 kg (280 lb) . - Remove bolts (2) and plates (3).
- Remove outlet assembly (1) and the outlet gasket.

- Remove the remaining insulation.

359 kg (795 lb) . Remove catalyst (7).Note: Remove and discard all gaskets and retaining hardware. These parts are one time use only.

- Install catalyst (SCR) (7) in the reverse order of removal.
