Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the swivel.

1. Attach Tooling (A) to gear and bearing (1) and use a suitable lifting device to reposition multiprocessor housing assembly (2). Refer to Table 2 for the combined weight of multiprocessor housing assembly (2) and gear and bearing (1). Use Tooling (B) and a suitable pipe with a minimum length of 1200 mm (47 inch) placed in Position (X) to support multiprocessor housing assembly (2). Use a suitable cribbing to position multiprocessor housing assembly (2).

2. Remove bolts (3). Use Tooling (A) and suitable lifting device to remove gear and bearing (1). The weight of gear and bearing is approximately 134 kg (295 lb).

3. Remove V-ring seal (4).

4. Remove bolts (5) and plate (6) gear and bearing (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install gear and bearing (1) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 1000 ± 125 N·m (738 ± 92 lb ft)
