Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove heat shields (1) and (2) from the exhaust elbow assemblies.

  2. Remove nuts (4), elbow assembly (3), and the gasket.

  3. Remove nuts (6), elbow assembly (5), and the gasket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the gasket, elbow assembly (5), and nuts (6).

  2. Install the gasket, elbow assembly (3), and nuts (4).

    Note: Ensure that the heat shields are clean and free from damage. If the heat shields are worn or damaged, replace with the new heat shields.

  3. Install shield (2) on elbow assembly (5). Install shield (1) on elbow assembly (3) and also partially covering shield (2).

    Note: Tighten and adjust the heat shields by using the straps and the D-rings.
