- Remove heat shields (1) and (2) from the exhaust elbow assemblies.

- Install the gasket, elbow assembly (5), and nuts (6).

Illustration 6 g06240049 Note: Ensure that the heat shields are clean and free from damage. If the heat shields are worn or damaged, replace with the new heat shields.
- Install shield (2) on elbow assembly (5). Install shield (1) on elbow assembly (3) and also partially covering shield (2).
Note: Tighten and adjust the heat shields by using the straps and the D-rings.
