Electronic Control Module (Engine) - Remove and Install

- Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.

Illustration 1 g06146117 - Disconnect harness assemblies (1).
- Support ECM (4). Remove bolts (2). Disconnect grounding strap (3) from ECM (4).
- Remove ECM (4).
Note: If the ECM is being replaced, download the personality module before you remove the ECM. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Replacing the ECM".
- Position ECM (4) on the engine.
- Connect grounding strap (3) to ECM (4). Install bolts (2).
- Connect harness assemblies (1).
- Turn the keyswitch to the ON position.
