Position Sensor (Lift Linkage) - Replace

Usage:

992K KK2

  • Tilt the bucket to a position level with the ground. Lower the bucket to the ground.

  • Connect the steering frame lock link.

  • Engage the parking brake.

  • Stop the engine and leave the key start switch in the OFF position.

    (1) Lift linkage position sensor

  • Disconnect the harness connector from the sensor connector.

  • Remove the bracket from the frame.

  • Remove the lever from the Lift Linkage Position Sensor.

  • Remove the Lift Linkage Position Sensor from the bracket.


    NOTICE

    The position sensor can be damaged if too much force is applied against the internal stops of the sensor. Be careful when removing the position sensor lever or rotating the shaft attached to the sensor.


  • Install the new Lift Linkage Position Sensor on the bracket.

  • Install the lever on the new Lift Linkage Position Sensor.

  • Install the bracket on the frame.

  • Connect the harness connector to the sensor connector.

  • The Lift Linkage Position Sensor must be calibrated before the machine is returned to use.

    Reference: For the correct procedure to calibrate the Lift Linkage Position Sensor, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, M0083603, "992K Wheel Loader", "Linkage Sensor Calibrations (Lift & Tilt)" for the machine that is being serviced.
