Description Of Change: A new sleeve bearing is now used in the carrier assembly. The new sleeve bearing will provide increased support to the 1 and 3 rotating clutch assembly. Increased support will prevent orbiting and extend the life of the clutch group.

Adaptable To: The sleeve bearing is part of 509-9173 Carrier Assembly. The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Note: Products updated may contain a transmission serial number prefix of TJ9.

Note: Reman transmissions with MJ8 prefix may require additional updates. Have the dealer Technical Communicator (TC) submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) Product Health Service Request to determine if further updates are required for the transmission.
