A New Alternator Guard Is Used on Certain G3500 Engines {7174}

Usage:

Engine: G3516C (S/N: GSB1-UP; GZC1-UP; F6D1-UP; F6E1-UP; F6F1-UP; GZZ1-UP); G3520C (S/N: GZA1-UP; GZB1-UP; GZJ1-UP; GZL1-UP; GZM1-UP; GZN1-UP; RLP1-UP; LGS1-UP); G3520E (S/N: GZE1-UP; GZH1-UP)
Power Module: PMG3516 (S/N: JKK1-UP)

Description Of Change: The new alternator guard is more robust and more resistant to engine vibration.

Adaptable To: The new 481-9956 Alternator Guard As, 481-9960 Bracket As, and 481-9961 Bracket As replace the former 224-4533 Alternator Guard As.

The new alternator guard is adaptable to the above engines back to first production.

This new parts are listed in Table 1.
