Usage:

C32 RNC

Display Does Not Power Up

If the display does not power up, use the following checks:

  1. Ensure that connector 2 is pushed in securely. Ensure that both tabs are clicked inwards.

  2. Check the wiring on connector 2 for damage corrosion or incorrect attachment at the following pins:

    • Pin 10 (Key Switch Input)

    • Pin 11 (Battery +)

    • Pin 12 (Battery -)

  3. Check the voltage from the power supply of the ship. Check the customer/OEM connector, wiring, and circuit breakers.

J1939 Connection Lost

The diagnostic screen seen in Illustration 1 is displayed when J1939 communication is lost.

Use the following checks to address the issue:

  • Check the J1939 wiring on connector 2 for damage, corrosion, or incorrect attachment.

  • Ensure correct installation of the wires and terminating resistors for the J1939 data link at the customer/OEM connections. Refer to the Application & Installation Guide, LEBM0077, "Cat Marine Display Application & Installation Guide" for further information.

Gauge or Parameter Cannot Read Data

If an engine or transmission parameter displays dashes ("- - - -") instead of a value, an incorrect source address has been selected for an engine or transmission location. Select the correct location in the "ECM Select" screen under"Settings". Refer to the Application & Installation Guide, LEBM0077, "Cat Marine Display Application & Installation Guide" for further information.
