Hydraulic Oil Filter - Replace

Usage:

HPU300 AP3

Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.

  1. Place the power pack on firm, level, and horizontal ground.

  2. Remove cover (A).

  3. Unscrew breather filter (B) slowly to release the pressure inside the reservoir slowly.

  4. Thoroughly clean the outside of hydraulic oil filter (C).

  5. Place a suitable container under the power pack to collect the hydraulic oil as it flows out.

  6. Unscrew cap (D) of the hydraulic oil filter.

  7. Collect the hydraulic oil as it drains.

    Note: Refer to "General Hazard Information" for information that pertains to containing fluid spillage.

  8. Remove spring (E) if it is not seated on cover (D).

  9. Remove the old filter element (F) by lifting out the element with the handle and replace with a new element.

  10. Check the surface of the element for dirt residues and coarse particles.

    Note: Coarse particles can be a sign of damage to the components.

  11. Clean the drip and dirt collector (G).

  12. Carefully place a new filter element onto the mount in the filter housing.

  13. Remove dirt from the housing and the sealing surface of cover (D) if necessary.

  14. Screw on cap (D) with spring (E) and tighten by hand.

  15. Install and tighten breather filter (B).

  16. Operate the power pack and check for leaks.

  17. Install the cover.

  18. Dispose of used filters and used fluids according to local regulations.
