Putting out of Operation Temporarily

If the power pack will be out of operation for more than 30 days, follow the steps below.

Store the power pack indoors if possible.

If the power pack has to be stored outdoors, place the power pack on a wooden base (if possible) and cover the power pack with a watertight tarp to protect the power pack against humidity.

  2. Check the power pack for leaks and loose threaded fittings.

  3. Carefully clean and dry the power pack.

  4. Spray an anticorrosion agent onto bare metal parts.

  5. Check the hydraulic oil level and if necessary, add oil until the oil level is between the minimum and maximum marks.

Putting Back into Operation

Note: If the power pack was put out of operation over a longer period without performing the specified steps, consult a Cat dealer before putting back into operation.

  1. Remove anticorrosion agents from bare metal parts.

  2. Check the power pack for leaks and loose threaded fittings.
