Machine

The Machine button allows the operator to adjust the machine’s operation settings.

To access the Machine menus and adjust settings, press the "Machine" button (1).

Machine Settings Menu

Machine > Settings

  1. Press the Machine button (1) located on the right side of the Display. The Machine menu page will appear.

  2. Press the "Settings" menu button (2) to enter the "Settings" menu page.

  3. Press the BACK button (3) to return to the previous menu.

  4. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Note: Settings menu pages will vary, depending on the machine model and equipped features.

Note: Some of the menu buttons in the menu button group are hidden. The Display can only show four menu buttons at a time. Use the UP Arrow button (7) or the DOWN Arrow button (9) to scroll through the list of menu buttons. The Menu Sliding Indicator of the Non-Interactive Scroll Bar (6) will move accordingly with the page.

Payload

Machine > Settings > Payload

Models 988, 990, and 994 when Cat® Production Measurement is installed and enabled.

Press the "Payload" button. The "Payload" button will highlight in yellow and the Payload menu pages will appear.

The Payload Hotkey button is available on the following models when the Cat Production Measurement (CPM) installed and enabled.

  • 998 T4f Wheel Loader

  • 988 LRC Wheel Loader

  • 990 T4f Wheel Loader

  • 990 LRC Wheel Loader

  • 992 T4f Wheel Loader

  • 992 LRC Wheel Loader

(10) Payload menu button

Press the Payload menu button (10). The button will highlight in blue, then in yellow. The Payload menu pages will appear.

Choose from the following selections:

  • Weigh range

  • Print tickets

  • Tip-off

  • Payload display mode

  • Weigh units

  • Payload Horn

  • List management

Kickouts

Machine > Settings > Kickouts

Models 836 (when ABP is installed), 988, 990, and 994.

  1. Press the Kickouts menu button (11). The button will turn blue, then yellow. The Kickouts menu page will appear.

  2. Choose from the following selections:

    • Raise Kickout

    • Lower Kickout

    • Rackback Kickout

    • Dump Kickout

  3. Press the intended button in the menu button group. The button will turn blue. The intended settings page will appear.

  4. Press either the Enabled menu button or the Disabled menu button. The button will turn blue, then yellow. A check mark will also appear in the selected yellow button.

  5. Press either the "Enabled" menu button or the "Disabled" menu button. The selected button will turn yellow. A check mark will also appear in the selected button.

Ride Control (If Installed)

Machine > Settings > Ride Control

Models 988 and 990 with Ride Control System installed.

  1. Press the Ride Control menu button. The button will highlight in blue. The "Ride Control" settings page will appear.

  2. Press the ENTER DATA button (15) for the Forward Activation Speed. A keypad will appear.

  3. On the keypad, type in an intended number for the Activation Speed (Forward or Reverse). After entering the value, press the OK button (8).

  4. Press the BACK button (3) again to return to the previous page.

  5. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

  6. Press the BACK button (3) again to return to the previous menu.

Reverse Activation Speed

Machine > Settings > Ride Control> Reverse Activation Speed

  1. Press the Ride Control menu button. The button will highlight in blue. The "Ride Control" settings page will appear.

  2. Press the ENTER DATA button (16) for the Reverse Activation Speed. A keypad will appear.

  3. On the keypad, type in an intended number for the Activation Speed (Forward or Reverse). After entering the value, press the OK button (8).

  4. Press the BACK button (3) again to return to the previous page.

  5. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Rimpull

Machine > Settings > Rimpull

Models 988, 990, and 994.

(18) Increment/Decrement bar

  1. Press the Rimpull menu button (17). The button will highlight in blue, then yellow. The Set Rimpull Control settings page will appear.

    The Set Rimpull Control page has three settings:

    • Medium High (percentage)

    • Medium Low (percentage)

    • Low (percentage)

  2. To decrease or increase each percentage, press either the MINUS (-) button or the PLUS (+) button on the Increment/Decrement bar (18).

  3. When an intended number appears, press the OK button (8) to set. The newly set number will appear in white text.

  4. Press the BACK button (3) to return to the previous menu.

  5. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Controlled Throttle Shifting (CTS)

Machine > Settings > Controlled Throttle Shifting (CTS)

  3. Press the BACK button (3) to return to the previous menu.

  4. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Autolube (If Installed)

  1. Press the UP Arrow button (7) or DOWN Arrow button (9) to scroll the Settings menu to the Autolube menu button (20). The Menu Sliding Indicator on the Non-Interactive Scroll Bar will move accordingly with the page.

  2. Press the Autolube menu button (20). The button will highlight in blue, then yellow. The Autolube page will appear.

  3. Press the ENTER DATA button (21) found in the Pressure settings box on the Autolube page. A keypad will appear.

  4. On the keypad, type in an intended number for the Autolube Minimum Pressure. To make a correction, press the BACKSPACE button (22) to backspace over the number.

  5. When an intended number appears, press the OK button (8) to set.

  6. Press the BACK button (3) to return to the previous menu.

  7. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Auto Idle

  3. To select a delay time, press an intended menu button on the Auto Idle Delay Time settings screen. Choose from the following selections:

    • 5 sec(onds)

    • 10 sec(onds)

    • 20 sec(onds)

    • 40 sec(onds)

    The selected button will highlight in blue, then yellow. A black check mark will then appear in the selected yellow menu button. Press the OK button (8) to set.

  4. Press the "OK" button (9) to set.

  5. Press the BACK button (3) to return to the previous menu.

  6. Press the HOME button (4) to return to the HOME page.

Implement Modulation
