To select an item on the touch screen display:

  1. Select an item with the Up or Down arrow.

    The item will turn yellow.

  2. Either touch the item that is highlighted in yellow or press the "OK" button.

    The item will turn blue.

Display Buttons

Perform the following steps to get to Units Selection:

  1. Press the Display button (1).

    The menu page will appear.

  2. Press the Units button.

    The Units button will highlight in blue.

  3. Press the English or Metric button.

    The selected option will highlight in blue.

  4. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Machine Settings

Press the "Machine" button (2) to view and adjust settings within the "Machine Settings" menu.

Machine Settings: Payload

Machine > Settings > Payload

Set Weigh Range

Machine > Settings > Payload > Set Weigh Range

  1. Press the "Machine" button (2).

    The "Machine" menu page will appear.

  2. Press "Settings".

    "Settings" will highlight in blue and the menu page will appear.

  3. Press "Payload".

    "Payload" will highlight in blue and the "Payload" menu page will appear.

  4. Press "Set Weigh Range".

    "Set Weigh Range" will highlight in blue and the "Set Weigh Range" settings page will appear.

  5. Use the Increment bar to set the "Weigh Range".

    • To decrease "Weigh Range", press "-" Button (5). When a desired number appears, press "OK" to set. The newly set number will appear in white text. "Lift Cylinder" will appear as a fixed percentage on the page.

    • To increase "Weigh Range", press "+" Button (6). When a desired number appears, press "OK" to set. The newly set number will appear in white text. "Lift Cylinder" will appear as a fixed percentage on the page.

  6. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Lower Limit

Machine > Settings > Payload > Set Weigh Range - Lower Limit

  1. Press "Machine" button (2).

    The "Machine" menu page will appear.

  2. Press "Settings".

    "Settings" will highlight in blue and the menu page will appear.

  3. Press "Payload".

    "Payload" will highlight in blue and the "Payload" menu page will appear.

  4. Press "Set Weigh Range".

    "Set Weigh Range" will highlight in blue and the "Set Weigh Range" settings page will appear.

  5. Use the Increment bar to set "Lower Limit" percentage.

    • To decrease "Lower Limit", press the "-" Button (3). When a desired number appears, press "OK" to set. The newly set number will appear in white text. "Lift Cylinder" will appear as a fixed percentage on the page.

    • To increase "Lower Limit", press the "+" Button (4). When a desired number appears, press "OK" to set. The newly set number will appear in white text. "Lift Cylinder" will appear as a fixed percentage on the page.

  6. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Printer Tickets

Machine > Settings > Payload > Printer Tickets

  1. Press the "Machine" button (2).

    "Settings" will highlight in blue and a menu page will appear.

  3. On the Settings page, press "Payload".

    "Payload" will highlight in blue and the "Payload" menu page will appear.

  4. Press "Printer Tickets".

    "Printer Tickets" will highlight in blue and the "Printer Tickets" settings page will appear.

  5. Press either:

    • "0"

    • "1"

    • "2"

    • "3"

  6. Press "OK" to set.

  7. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Weight Units

Note: The Weight Units option will only appear when the display units are set to English.

    • "Tons (T)"

    • "lb X 1000 (klb)"

  6. Press "OK" to set.

  7. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

List Management

Machine > Settings > Payload > List Management

  1. Press the "Machine" button (2).

    The "Machine" menu page will appear.

  2. Press "Settings".

    "Settings" will highlight in blue and a menu page will appear.

  3. On the Settings page, press "Payload".

    "Payload" will highlight in blue and the "Payload" menu page will appear.

  4. Press "List Management".

    "List Management" will highlight in blue and the "List Management" screen will appear.

  5. Press either:

    • "List Management"

    • "Material"

  6. Press "OK" to set.

  7. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Service Mode

Press the Service button (4) to enter the Service Mode.

The Service Mode is password protected. The default password is "1234", but this password can be configured and viewed in the display configuration in Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET).

Several screens are accessed through the Service Mode, including:

  • Auto Truck ID

  • Auto Material ID

  • Calibration weight entry

  • Linkage calibrations

  • Payload calibration

  • Printer installation status

  • Simple calibration

  • Temporary install status

  • Scaled data source

  • Cat Scale

Enabling the Service Mode is not necessary when configuring the following:

  • Auto Truck ID

  • Auto Material ID

  • Simple calibration

(8) Standby button

In "Standby" mode, the Standby button (8) will appear on the screen with the bucket weight. While in Standby, the bucket weights will be measured, but not stored to memory. If enabled, Overload Warnings will show while payload is in Standby.

Payload Is Not Calibrated

Note: When a diagnostic related to a payload component is active, or the system is out of calibration, the exclamation point icon will appear above the bucket.

Payload Banner

The Payload Banner will appear:

  • Across the bottom of the display, but only in the rearview camera screen

  • Only if this application is installed

The Payload Banner will show only the bucket weight if the application is installed, but the system is in Standby.

Payload Interface Screen Symbols

"0" (Tare) Bucket Weigh - Zero's the current bucket weight if possible. While tipping, the button becomes the Tip Off Toggle button.

-1 Button - Removes the last pass. After the pass is removed with -1, the button becomes a Clear Truck button if additional passes remain.

Clear Button - Removes all passes currently in the truck.

Current Bucket Weight - The number "0.2" indicates "Current Bucket Weight".

Estimated Weight - Commands the scale system to perform a weight measurement.

Material ID - List of Materials.

Tip Off Toggle Button - Tip Off Toggle button shows only while tipping. Pressing the toggle button is a shortcut to switch between the tip modes.

Manual Tip Off Button - Manual Tip Off button toggles manual tip off on and off when a weight is present. The button becomes green when manual tip off is active, and gray when inactive.

Payload Settings - Shortcut to Payload settings

Standby Button - Activates and deactivates Standby for the Cat Production Measurement Application.

Truck ID - List of trucks.

Truck Target Weight Set - Used to set the Target Truck weight.

Truck Weight Remaining - Shows the amount of material needed to hit the target weight .

Pass Count - The number "4" indicates "Pass Count".

Print - Opens the print menu.

Summed Truck Weight - The number "6.0" indicates "Summed Truck Weight".

Printer

The printer is optional equipment.

Clear Printer Memory

Payload > Print > Clear Printer Memory

  1. Press the Reset button (13).

    Resetting the current printer data will clear all materials in the truck and material summary and clear the current material totals.

    A dialog box will appear and ask, "Clear Current Printer Data?".

  2. Press "Yes" to clear the data or "No" to retain the data.

  3. Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.
