  1. Remove panel (1).

    Note: Mark the orientation of harness assembly (3) for assembly purposes.

  2. Disconnect harness assembly (3). Cut any cable straps for harness assembly (3).

  3. Remove temperature sensor (flame detect) (2).

  4. Open door (4).

  5. Remove temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (5), and temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) in the reverse order of removal.

    Note: Always replace the metal cable straps with a comparable cable strap. Do not use plastic cable straps.

    Note: Route harness assembly (3) in the original location to protect harness assembly from heat.

    1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads on temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) and to the threads of temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (5). Tighten temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) and temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (5) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).
