The CapSure protectors must be mounted with the retainer lock located toward the outside of the sidebar. The pin kits consist of a pin and two washers Refer to Illustrations 1 and 2.
- The thicker washer fits into the sidebar counterbore. The thinner (
3 mm (0.12 inch) ) washer is positioned on the inside or flat side of the sidebar if clearance between the protector and the sidebarallow. Install the thick washer into the sidebar counterbore, slide the protector on to the sidebar (Illustration 3) and attempt to insert the thin washer into place (Illustration 4). Discard the washer if the washer cannot fit in the gap.Show/hide tableIllustration 5 g03705599 990-994 Show/hide tableIllustration 6 g03705600 988 - Remove the sidebar protector.
