    Continuous asset operation

The Product Link 522 is unable to communicate the engine stop message or idle information (fuel/time) to the back office, if the disconnect engages too fast after ignition OFF. This will cause VisionLink to display the asset as operating (without idling) despite the engine being OFF and will display irregular asset operation. Refer to Illustration 1.

Perform the following procedure for capturing engine stop messages and idle information:

    1. The operator should wait 5 minutes before engaging the battery disconnect. This will allow sufficient time for the PL522 to communicate the engine stop message along with the fuel information to the back office so that the engine stop message along with the fuel information can be properly displayed in VisionLink.
