Start By:
- Remove the final drive, the wheel, and the service brake piston housing .
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be cleaned thoroughly. Cleaning will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
- Position spindle assembly (1) in a vertical position with the brake assembly facing upward.
- Remove O-ring seal (2).
- Remove retaining ring (3).
- Remove hub (4) from spindle assembly (1).

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to compress springs (16) on piston housing (13).
- Remove retaining pins (14) (not shown) from spring guides (15).
- Release the pressure from the suitable press. Remove springs (16) and spring guides (15) from piston housing (13).
