3516C (S/N: TKG1-UP; TKT1-UP; TKX1-UP; TKY1-UP)

Description of Change: The new jacket water elbow and tube assembly are more robust to relative motion.

Adaptable To: The new 446-0380 Elbow and 446-0378 Tube As replace the existing 390-7470 Elbow and 375-7973 Tube. The new elbow and tube assembly are adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above.

Refer to Table 1 for a list of part numbers needed to install the new elbow and tube assembly.

Rework Procedure

1. Drain jacket water coolant into suitable container for reuse or disposal.

2. Remove the 390-7470 Elbow and 375-7973 Tube from the engine. Set aside all brackets and hardware for reuse.

   Note: Do not remove the water pump flange.

3. Install elbow (2) and one O-ring into existing water pump flange.

4. Install one ring (1) and one O-ring (7) onto tube assembly (3) .

5. Insert tube assembly (3) into elbow (2) .

6. Secure tube assembly (3) to elbow (2) with one flange (4), two bolts (5), and two washers (6) .

7. Attach tube assembly (3) to the 216-2285 Tube Joint with one seal (9) .

8. Reinstall all mounting brackets and hardware loosely.

9. Secure all components once reassembled.
