Sensors and Electrical Connectors

Usage:

C4.4 NRP
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) and most of the engine sensors are located on the left side of the engine. Refer to Illustration 3.

For the remaining sensors that are attached to the engine, refer to Illustration 1.

Note: In the following illustrations, some components have been removed in order to improve visibility.

(1) Intake manifold air temperature sensor

(2) Intake manifold pressure sensor

(3) Electronic Control Module (ECM)

(4) Primary speed/timing sensor

(5) Primary fuel filter inlet pressure sensor (MCS only)

(6) Primary fuel filter outlet pressure sensor (MCS only)

(7) Engine oil temperature sensor (MCS only)

(8) Secondary fuel filter inlet pressure sensor (MCS only)

(9) Secondary fuel filter outlet pressure sensor

(10) Fuel leakage sensor

(11) Sea water pressure sensor (raw water cooling system only) or cooling water pressure sensor (keel cooling system only)

(12) Oil pressure sensor

(14) Solenoid for the high-pressure fuel pump
