Description of Change: The new stub shaft is made exclusively from high grade ductile iron.
Adaptable To: The new 449-7383 Stub Shaft is a direct replacement for the 7N-7057 Stub Shaft. The existing 7N-7057 Stub Shaft can be constructed from both steel and cast iron.
The steel 7N-7057 Stub Shaft can be identified by the existence of machining centers on both shaft ends. Also, an etched identification is present on the small end of the shaft. Refer to Illustrations 1 through 3 for steel shaft identification examples.
