- Retrofit Aftertreatment:
- SCR (S/N: ES71-UP)
The new mounting kit and sensor locations that are used help extend the service life of the sensors. Retrofit Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems use engine boost and back pressure sensors for data inputs. The new locations help prevent excessive vibration on some configurations.

Exhaust back pressure sensor |
Install the boost air temperature sensor to the intake manifold as shown in Illustration 2. If excessive vibration is causing inaccurate back pressure sensor data, mount the sensor off the engine. Use the provided hose and other hardware shown in Illustration 2 to move the sensor. The sensor body requires a vertical mounting orientation. The operating temperature range for the boost pressure and exhaust back pressure sensor is −40° C (−40° F) to 125° C (257° F).
