New Product Link software for PL300 is now available for all Cat ^® Products. The new software is available for PL321SR systems with the Electronic Control Module (PL300). The new software contains improvements and enhancements that are listed below:

• Improved fuel information reporting accuracy by providing the correct fuel information on the expected day

• Enhanced utilization messaging reporting for data accuracy

• Enlarged message queue to enable coping with longer periods of limited satellite coverage

If needed, adjust the internal Product Link clock to agree with Service Meter Hours (SMH) of the machine as indicated on the hour meter after flashing the new software.

The new software part number is listed in Table 1.

Notes

Note: To obtain the full benefits of the improvements and enhancements, both the radio and the gateway software must be flashed. The latest software for the PL121 radio can be found in SIS Web. This radio firmware is updated using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat^® ET) Subsystem Module Programming.

Note: Prior to service trip, launch SIS Web and ensure that the new flash file part number is the latest flash file part number. A newer flash file part number may be available

Note: Before using Communications Adapter 3 (CA3), make sure that the PC drivers and CA3 firmware have been updated. CA3 news, drivers, and firmware are available at "https://dealer.cat.com".

Note: The new software is flashed onto the Module using "WinFlash". Always use the latest version of Cat ^® ET for the optimal machine software support.
