Rotor Drive (Planetary) Oil - Change
Note: The rotor drive (planetary) oil drain plug and fill plug are located on the left side of the machine, on the rotor drum frame.

- Use a suitable pry bar in mechanical insert (1) to rotate the rotor manually. Rotate the rotor so that fill plug (2) is aligned with hole (3) on the frame. Remove the drain plug (4) and the fill plug (2) .
- Allow the oil to drain in a suitable container. Install the drain plug (4) .
- Add clean oil to the hole for the fill plug (2) until the oil level is at the bottom of the opening.
- Install the fill plug (2) .

Do not under fill or over fill the rotor planetary reducer with oil. Either condition can cause damage to the rotor drive system. Allow enough time for oil to flow through the bearings and reach the correct level in all compartments. Allow more time for cold oil. |
